Mini Bags Are Everywhere

Micro Bags

Fashion’s most coveted accessory is now vogueing in micro form, nano bags are no longer exclusively nocturnally reserved. Prominent on catwalks and flooding our insta feeds, celebrities have also been exhibiting all kinds of miniature models including chic lanyards, bucket bags, fanny packs and ultra-mini totes. Making their debut early in 2018, the miniature bag has been met with instant adoration when Jacquemus first introduced the 3-inch purse ‘Le Sac Chiquito’ during his Spring/Summer 2018 runway show, followed by ‘Mini Le Chiquito’ shrunken further to a comic 2-inch height! Understandably met with ridiculing backlash, with claims that it could only fit one single Tic-Tac, identified/flagged as AW 19’s most impractical street style.

Fashion houses like Brandon Maxwell, Carolina Herrera, Erdem,  Gabriela Hearst, Givenchy and Versace have been endorsing this look as they accessories their runway models with mini crossbody clutches and tiny ornamental lunch boxes. Celebrity fans include Kendall & Kylie Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Rihanna and Kim Kardashian, whom have all been toting the teeny-tiny tote trend.
