Your Guide To Fall’s Denim

With our life is finally getting back to normal, it’s time to hang up our joggers and dress up once again. What does that mean? Yes, it’s time to pull out your favorite pair of denim. Well, there are no surprises here. Denim has always been a wardrobe staple come fall.  How denim is worn has been given a bit of an upgrade…simply because if the looks aren’t updated no one is going to buy denim.  They’ll just make do with what they have.  Here are the trends that will be ruling our fall looks.

The Darker The Better

Dark denim will have a moment come fall. We saw so many top-notch indigo and darker silhouettes on the runways. You can style with dark, bright, or nude colors. These beauties are so verstile.

The Ultra-Baggy Jean

This trend is no surprise. While we have gotten back to our offices we don’t want to miss the comfort we experienced in our sweatpants and loungewear. The super baggy jeans trend is the best way to ease you back into your normal life. A relaxed silhouette can be pleated at the waist or cinched with a belt. Go full 90’s with this style you’ll thank us later.

The Pattern Play

One of the newest and least familiar trends this season is the patterned denim trend. From animal print to geometrical print, there is a lot of variety, and plenty to choose from, so you can go full throttle or take it slowly.

Straight Leg Jean

This Eighties-inspired trend continues to dominate this season too. The only update is the length, in addition to the cropped length and ankle length of last season, there is the longer one that literally touches the floor. Style it with a denim jacket, white top, and black shoes and you are good to roll. Light, dark or medium wash? Totally up to you.

Flared Jeans

70’s flares are making a serious comeback. And if you are not up to rigid fabrics then this one is for you as many of them came in stretch denim. Wearing them is one of the easiest ways to create a polished look. Pair them with your t-shirt, knit, tank top, or blouse for a super trendy look. It is up to you, but we believe that platforms or clogs are a must with this look.

Distressed Jean

These babies are back. The fashion crowd is obsessed with the loose-fitting ripped jeans once again. Look out for authentic-looking denim with slightly undone hems or seams and instead of pairing them with sneakers try a ladylike heel or pump.

Head To Toe

This trend is everywhere, and it’s looking good.  Combining the ease of denim with the functionality of a boiler suit, the denim jumpsuit rises as the hero piece of the season.  When choosing a jumpsuit, keep in mind the look you want reflect. The more the denim is distressed, with cargo pockets and self-belt the more casual it will  appear.  If you are looking for something more formal, go for raw denim with minimal detailing.
