Sarah Jessica Parker can now add publisher to her impressive resumé, that and Manolo Blahnik connoisseur amongst other things:)
In her latest role Sarah Jessica Parker goes back to her place of comfort, books. An avid reader for many years it only made sense for her to eventually capitalize on her influence in this arena. Her latest collaboration sees her partner with Molly Stern, book publisher of Crown and Hogarth in a series titled: SJP for Hogarth. In her role as Editorial Director the Sex and The City and Divorce star acquires and curates works of fiction that reflect her own taste as a reader. Sounds like our favorite book club already, and with SJP’s influence; a great source of income for her.
The first book to be released under the umbrella of SJP by Hogarth is a novel by California-born Fatima Farheen Mirza titled, ‘A Place for Us’ In Sarah Jessica Parker’s own words, a brief description. “To be taken hostage by Fatima Farheen Mirza’s heartrending and timely story is a gutting pleasure. It allows her reader to better understand what it means to reconcile one’s love of family and culture with a desire to find one’s own path, and one’s own faith. Ms. Mirza painstakingly details the life of an Indian Muslim family in America and their children’s search to feel whole, fulfilled, and content. She captures your mind and heart with an urgency that defies you to stop reading. I guarantee you will be different when you close the book.” Are you as hooked as we are?
