When Is The Best Time To Workout? A.M. Vs. P.M. Exercising

أفضل وقت لممارسة التمارين الرياضية

Morning vs. evening workout sessions; which is more beneficial? We have all heard at one point that evening exercising is a bad idea, as it tends to raise body temperatures and heart rate while activating the brain and the result is an adrenaline boost that keeps us wide awake! Not true; recent studies have shown that physical performance is usually at its best, and risk of injury at its least, in the evening; the sweet point being 6pm.. So, being an early bird doesn’t always get you the worm after all! Although many experts feel that morning workouts hold greater advantages than those in the evening, science backs both fields of thought, below is a list of advantages for both sides of the argument to find out which is more efficient, a morning or an evening sweat session?

A.M. Exercising…

Exercising first thing in the morning -being consistent though- is the best and most preferred time to stay on track with your fitness regimen.. There is usually less time for family, evening plans, commuting, late nights in the office, and other distractions to get in the way. Fatigue from a long day can also lead to skipped evening workouts. It is also a great time to focus on your workout by avoiding crowds that usually invade the gyms between 5 and 8 p.m. No room for socializing is also a bonus! The best part is when you set a morning exercise routine as your target a healthy rest-of-the-day- domino effect is created. It will automatically induce a healthy option for breakfast, increased water intake and most importantly more sleep at night which ultimately increases our chances to lose weight..

P.M. Exercising…

Evening exercising has its benefits too, individuals who work out later in the day have the opportunity to eat and fuel their bodies for a tough workout, therefore increasing their stamina. We are thinking kickboxing or personal training, and all of the daily stress being beautifully released! If you are someone who enjoys seeing friends during your workout evening sessions will increase those chances as well. Moreover, a 6pm slot has become the most popular time of day for working out, with running, Pilates and spin taking the top spots. Muscle strength tends to peak around this time, and is as much as six percent higher than in the morning.

Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide what works best in your routine. Remember, consistency is key, so find the time that allows you to stick to it. More than anything, just showing up matters more than when you do!
