Here’s to a designer who knows no restrictions. Limitations to age and size and non-existent to Alexandre Blanc; our newly found designer we’re currently obsessing about. Born and raised in the French countryside, and inspired by his unique imagination which stretched beyond the borders of his daily life. Blanc became obsessed with the actress Isabelle Adjani, as well as Michael Jackson, and a Japanese cartoon called “cat’s eyes”.. His fashion school education started at Dupetit Thouars and continued with master studies at IFM. Prior to launching his own brand he interned at YSL, Balenciaga, Carven, Jil Sander and Oscar de la Renta.
The silhouette, a combination of 30’s inspired fit-and-flare adding his own touch with original prints inspired by Léon Bakst and split skirts that meld the lines between inner-wear and outerwear. His lingerie-inspired details and contrast fabrics beneath is an art of layering femininity..
Blanc admits that he’s more comfortable with images than with words. Which explains the creativity embodied in his own prints, talk about flower fields of fantasy, serenity and appeal..
