Founder and creative director of her eponymous jewellery line, Lame Hourani is an internationally acclaimed Jordanian woman, specialising in Jewellery design, product design, development and sourcing, cultural branding and art curation. She applies this background to create remarkable one-of-a-kind pieces that are both conceptually meaningful and commercially appealing.
In 2000, Hourani launched her first jewellery collection, establishing herself as a trendsetter by making Arab heritage accessible and hip to her peers throughout the Middle East. An avid traveller, she increasingly folds various global influences and inspirations into each of her collections: Peruvian Inca symbols, Masai tribal colours, Arabian desert vernacular architectural details and prehistoric art are all blended into fine metal and gem works that bear the tale of diverse cultures.
Growing up, Hourani has been surrounded by art, inspiration and creativity from a young age, with her family establishing the first private art gallery in Jordan in 1991, Foresight32 (then called Baladna Art Gallery).
She has recently been featured in Hola Spain, check out these beautiful images taken of the pioneering artist and her family
Lama Hourani Jewelry is proudly designed, handmade and assembled in her workshops in Amman and Hong Kong. She now resides between Shanghai, Barcelona and Amman.
