From Jerash’s Gaza Camp to Harrods London, SEP Jordan’s Journey of Success

SEP Jordan’s Journey

What a journey the SEP Jordan team have made, all the way from the Palestinian refugee camps of Jordan to London’s iconic Harrods department store. On March 1st, 2018 SEP Jordan’s hand stitched cushions and throws will be available at the prestigious Fabric Library on the first floor. The go-to destination for those who want to transform their interiors with statement textiles. Their collections are sourced from the world’s most masterful design houses and curated by Harrods’ team of interiors experts.

Each piece is hand embroidered by a single artist, who can quickly point out her own work by the stitch. Not one item is exactly the same and every single one expresses its artist’s personality. SEP’s promise: mutual happiness. The SEP artists are female refugees who continue the time honored, cross stitch technique that has been passed down from generation to generation. Every stitch tells a story.

SEP Jordan’s range of cushions are available in four unique patterns: the Koutubia®, the Alhambra®, the Putrajaya® and the Sultan Han® – all inspired by ancient architectural masterpieces. Their range of throws are made from luxurious Italian cashmere and are created specifically for SEP Jordan by a family-run cashmere weaving supplier. Each creation is hand-embroidered in Jerash camp, Jordan. The SEP team has gained a reputation for their bespoke embroidered fabrics projects: Headboards, cushions, upholstery, as well as a wide range of home textiles which can be hand-embroidered in a range of patterns and colors according to your needs.
