Michael Kors reopened their flagship store in Amman earlier this month, making this the second Michael Kors store in the Middle East after Dubai Mall to carry both the women’s as well as the men’s ready-to-wear lines. In a VIP event that was hosted by Jordan Fashion Week founder Shirene Rifai, Michael Kors celebrated the brand’s relocation to a more spacious location within Taj Mall to accommodate for the introduction of their two new lines of women’s and men’s ready-to-wear. Additionally, the store will also house a wide range of Michael Kors’ products including accessories, small leather goods, shoes, watches, eyewear and fragrance.
In an exclusive interview with Rose Halabi; Brand Director at Michael Kors, she explained that launching their ready-to-wear lines in Amman should come as no surprise given the brand’s DNA, aesthetic and strong fashion identity, as well as the nature of the Jordanian customer.
“Our Jordanian customer is fashion-forward and leads a busy lifestyle too, yet she makes sure she participates in an active social stand. She has a fun outlook onto life, and wants to be part of and up-to-date with all the global fashion trends. She is well acquainted with the global fashion trends, confident and knows exactly what she is looking for. She values luxury fashion retail and incorporates this element in her daily wardrobe.” Rose Halabi explained.
The Jordanian customer has become fashion-forward enough to attract the attention of people at Michael Kors what with their eclectic collections that boast of-the-moment silhouettes, prints, and fabrics.
