Last year Khloe Kardashian launched a denim brand with celebrity brand expert Emma Grede. The Good American label focused on the message of stronger, sexier and curvier bodies, with the hashtag #goodbody. The brand boasts products that are created for all body types, not just size 2. The company carries sizes from zero all the way up to 24, which is inspiring.
Tomorrow the label will launch its 11 piece bodysuit range. With Khloe’s affinity for the one piece it was bound to happen. Describing the growth to Vogue USA as, “bodysuits are Good American’s way of doing jeans-and-T-shirt, Much like its denim, the brand’s 11 bodysuits, which will be priced from $129 to $189, will be inclusive in its sizing, available in 00 to 24…It’s a classic, easy-to-put-together look that works for everyone regardless of body type.”
The LA-based brand originated from a conversation between Khloe Kardashian and Emma Grede about what it means to be a woman today. “We believe everybody deserves to be shown off. Fashion should be made to fit women, not the other way around. Body ideals really have shifted in the last few years”, says Emma.
“Emma and I both agreed there was something missing from the denim community,” says Khloe. “Whenever we bought new jeans, it was hard for us to find a pair that fit our body types, and even when we did they’d always need alterations. We knew if we both had this problem, there must be tons of girls who did too. So we set out to make a denim line that’s sexy and flattering, and made to fit you – not the other way round.”
