Zara oh Zara!
It has never been a bad idea hopping into Zara at any spontaneous minute to indulge – guilt-free- in its pleasant, upbeat and trendy display of the latest fashion explorations that hit the shelves and rails in timely manner.. Recently, Zara employees have been sharing what it’s like to work at the most hip high street fashion spot in the world, below are 9 pieces of insider info, shopping hacks and things that employees really want customers to know about shopping at Zara..
1 || You should wash things you buy before wearing them
There’s no such thing as brand new at Zara, when it comes to any item you purchase, chances are it’s been tried on tens of times. An ex employee shares that more clothes than you’d think end up dirty each day, from customers trying them on. Usually, there’s a lot of makeup stains and BO’s settling on your picked up item. Wash or dry-clean anything you get is their advice..
2 || The best days to shop are Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Choose one of the above days to shop at Zara, it is less likely to be busy, especially Tuesdays, that’s when new clothes come in, and there are almost no customers which will increase your chances of picking up crisp clean, brand new items!
3 || If your size isn’t on the shop floor, it doesn’t mean they don’t have it in stock
Never lose hope! if your size on the shop floor has sold out, ask for it as usually there are more sizes in the stock room. Each display area on the shop floor only fits a certain number of items of clothing (be it 15 shirts or 10 dresses etc), so they have to hold some back if they won’t fit. It’s always worth asking..
4 || They can change designs based on feedback!
Zara takes inspiration from everyone and everywhere! So if you’re feeling inspired or gifted, It is a fact that Zara’s design team are dedicated to changing and editing designs based on customer feedback and can have a new design created and distributed in just 1-2 weeks. If you give them feedback on social media, keep your fingers crossed for your dream top to come to life in as minimum as 2 weeks!
5 || The best time to shop is before noon
Plan your Zara visit before noon, because once it hits one o’clock everything gets really busy! That’s when it becomes overly crowded and the lines get really long, it’s not the same shopping experience.
6 || In the case of exchanging items, don’t try to return clothes to the normal tills
Every Zara shop has dedicated customer service areas, do yourself -and others- a favor by returning any items of clothing to those dedicated areas.. You don’t wanna be turned away from normal tills do you?
7 || If you’re looking for an extra job, Zara staff get a 25% discount!
Zara employees say they’re given a 25% discount which can be used in store or online. So, if you’re a fashion lover and are looking for an extra paying job consider Zara and save as you make more money! Or, for that matter, befriend a Zara employee for that discount bliss!
8 || Don’t wait for a change of season, Zara offers sales all year round
Although the big ones are in January and June, they actually offer discounted clothes all year round..
9 || The shops are often arranged from most-to-least expensive
The most pricey items are put by the entrance, and the cheaper Trafaluc range tend to be displayed upstairs. So if you walk in and see big prices, don’t get discouraged – you just really have to go to the back or up to the next floor!
