Givenchy has unveiled its fresh-faced Spring 16 campaign, which is full of “positive energy”.
The French fashion house is currently in the hands of Riccardo Tisci, who has poured his efforts into its latest set of ads. One photo shows eight young female models, all dressed in white ensembles, gazing downwards into the camera. Being presented like a Polaroid snap, a short piece of handwriting by Antony Hegarty can be seen beneath the photo reading: “I am a child on the river, and love waits downstream: A waterfall to steal my breath, and change my mind.”
“Everyone can do something very small, some gesture of love,” Riccardo explained to WWD of the campaign. “I’m not saying this will change the world, but the world will be better. I’m a big believer in positive energy, and I’m sure this energy will spread. People have given me so much love and so much respect and this has helped me to grow.”
Other pictures from the project have been posted on Riccardo and the label’s Instagram accounts. Men join two females in another shot and they all wear black, contrasting against the females. The photos, shot by photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, have been given hashtags such as #love and #family.
Riccardo brought on board plenty of new names such as Lineisy Montero, Leila Goldkuhl and Kris Gottschalk for the shoot.
It was a very big production: 2/ models. ‘Ilhat’s a Lot of people,” he added. “But at the same time it was fun because it’s like family. 1-:veryone was happy to be there.
