Yes, believe it or not, the models prepare all year for this event by doing religious monthly facials that include all the basics from steaming and extractions, to collagen boosting, oxygen and light therapy treatments. Some might even go the extra mile and have a daily dose of skin boosting green smoothies that will most likely contain all or a combination of the following ingredients: coconut water, avocadoes, bananas, mangoes, pineapples, and spinach or kale.
However, a month ahead of the show the harsh exfoliations and extractions will be stopped and replaced with hydration treatments using serums and moisturizes packed with Hyaluronic Acid.
Custom spray tan is another crucial step models go through to prepare the skin of their faces as well as their bodies. Self-tanners are used to contour the cheekbones, cleavage, and give the impression of taut abs and slender thighs and underarms. Spraying two light layers of an organic mixture of 8% DHA (which is the chemical responsible for darkening the skin), along with essential oils, aloe vera, and vitamins A & E will contour the body and give the skin the healthy glow it needs.

Finally, and needless to mention, one must not neglect the importance of exercise, drinking plenty of water, and getting an adequate amount of sleep.
