Having graced the covers of the top tier fashion magazines and walked the runways for the major fashion houses since 2007, Karlie Kloss has more to offer than meets the eye. Being an avid computer-programmer herself, Kloss decided to use her huge platform of over 12 million followers to empower teenage girls by launching her Kode with Klossy program. This initiative is part of her nonprofit education charity aimed at decreasing the gender gap in the software engineering industry, and landing her the ever prestigious cover of Forbes magazine’s Top 30 under 30.

Chiara Ferragni is another example of a fashion blogger turned businesswoman landing the #1 spot in Forbes magazine’s top influencers’ list. What started as a blog is now a multi-million dollar brand with stores being opened all around the globe. What better validation for Chiara’s business than to be investigated as a case study by Harvard Business School in 2015.
