The fashion world at large mourned the passing of famed Parisian street style photographer, Nabile Quenum, who passed away in his Paris apartment at the age of 32 due to suspected carbon monoxide poisoning. Born in Paris and raised for the most part in the Ivory Coast in West Africa, Nabile’s upbringing awarded him a keen eye for color and an unparalleled sense of personal style. He would pull off eccentric ensembles which he will add to his signature circular glasses, his optimism and his big bright smile. He was all over the place during the fashion weeks world wide as he would be seen shooting street style either for his popular blog J’ai Perdu Ma Veste – French for “I lost my jacket”, or for GQ, New York Magazine, and CR Fashion Book. In 2017, Nabile joined the #NoFreePhotos movement, to stand up against the unofficial use of photographers’ work by influencers and brands.
His friends, colleagues and fashion world insiders will hugely miss Nabile’s passion for his work, his sunny presence and his ability to put a smile on people’s faces. We have collected some of his photographs as a tribute……RIP Nabile
