His latest knitwear collection was all made in Cape Town and Johannesburg and a new capsule collection is available for purchase on LVMH’s new shopping platfrom; 24 Sèvres.
2 || Siedrés
Founded by fashion designer Ceylin Türkkan and set in the imaginary Mediterranean town of Siedrés, this is a brand that is all about the juxtaposition of growing up in a small town yet making it big in the city. All her collections are narrative-driven and all are inspired by places, art, a certain mood or a moment in time. Siedrés is perfect for those hoping to evoke the relaxed Mediterranean ethos with a sunnier take on the famous Scandinavian style; “ A little bit more, a little bit less, but prettier!”
3 || Asata Maisé
We cannot but include a sustainable and ethical brand when we come across one. Made with vintage and reclaimed materials, this is a brand with handcrafted pieces at its core. The designer is a self-acclaimed history fanatic who is quite obsessed with the eras of social revolution and is convinced that in order to effect any change in the future one must learn the lessons history seems to impart. This fanaticism helped shape her sustainable approach to fashion to reduce the environmental impact of production while maintaining her brand’s integrity.
4 || The K Label
