Ana Beatriz Barros Weds Karim El Chiaty In Mykonos
Former Victoria Secret model Ana Beatriz Barros wed Egyptian-Greek businessman Karim El Chiaty In Mykonos last weekend, and we are in love with her dress. The custom-made Maison Valentino lace wedding dress had off-the-shoulder sleeves, a cinched waist and a light flowy skirt. The gown was also made with two different tones of ivory that added to the timelessness of the masterpiece.
I wanted something timeless so that in 20 years my gown would be just as relevant and as in style as it is today.
After the ceremony, the Brazilian bombshell changed into a one-of-a-kind Roberto Cavalli beaded gown designed by Peter Dundas, who was also there to celebrate with the couple. The pair that have been an item for three years chose the Greek island of Mykonos for their nuptials. It comes as no surprise that their guest list read like the who’s who of the jet-set pack.
We really like the energy of the island during summer months,” says Ana. “We could not think of a better time or place, as there are so many memories that we have already created there—we wanted to continue that tradition. We love the boho chic, relaxed yet sophisticated vibe, so we decided to get married on the beach with the Aegean Sea in the background.
The next night the couple hosted a second, much more relaxed celebration. “We brought all of our favorite places to Mykonos with a Brazilian-themed party complete with two DJs from Ibiza and different types of food from all over the world,” explains Ana. The bride wore a Naeem Khan dress and a different set of Chopard jewels, while guests were in all white. “This event reminded me of New Year’s Eve in Brazil,” says Ana. “It was nice to have a little piece of home at my wedding.”
