This one goes to new beginnings, hopefully, and after we’ve been heat-struck for quite a while, weather will gradually cool down and we will finally feel all what September/ October weather has to offer. That fresh breeze and cool mist will prep our mood for a new air of fashion trends this Fall, and yes we are so ready to receive it..!
Below, we dissect all the best trends that are in store for us this Fall 2020..
1 || Cropped Blazers
Get ready to catch up with Fall’s newest blazer silhouette.! The first trend that’ll allow you to merge with the winter season would be the cropped blazer. Very weekend-worthy, running-errands-appropriate, and ideal for weather transition. Add a touch of chic by layering your chosen cropped blazer over almost anything, from slip dresses to casual denim and a white t-shirt, to skirts, pants, and even long shorts, which tells us that there’s no single way to incorporate this updated classic into your wardrobe. Don’t think twice, cropped blazers are very fashion-forward and are gaining extreme popularity right now… Check the fashion board here.
2 || The Evolution Of The White Shirt
As you dive into the new season, you will witness the transformation of the average white shirt into the Victorian theme; meaning, ruffles, cuffs, lace-collars, and neckties are going to be prevalent this winter. This dramatic switch will become a norm and the classic white shirt will take a break. Invest in a couple of white shirts with Victorian details that can see you through the fall in style. Fashion’s budding romance with Victorian-era details—ornate lace, billowing sleeves, and frilly, high-neck tops—came to an apex this fall. Check the fashion board here.
3 || Gem Colors
Jewel colored tones are simply stunning, they have the power to turn heads and lift your mood with their potent color treatment… This Fall, invest in shades of citrine, emerald, ruby, and sapphire, the eye-catching tones are a color lover’s dream. Choose your everyday outfit in one of this season’s grand hues, or treat yourself with a bold and beautiful gown when formal events resume back to life..
Regal tones came in multiple textures. Velvet ups the ante with such tones, it offers a luxurious take on deep hues while silk softened their impact; your best bet would be combining textures for a dose of high style extravagance! Check the fashion board here.
4 || Sweet Like Chocolate
Every shade of chocolate was showcased on the Fall 20 runways. Rich tones of the same fabric pieced together to create a contrast that was characteristically smooth. Leathers were also given the brown treatment, in shades ranging from caramel to deep dark brown. Again the supple leathers keeping the color-rich yet gentle. It’s hard to remember that things were not OK before COVID and Fall 20 fashion reflected this with softer, smoother, and gentler combinations. Check the fashion board here.
5 || Winter White
Winter whites will come in handy this Fall, especially when you need to keep things simple.. Generally speaking, whites are easy to do, and never fail to exude elegance, however, choosing the perfect shade that suits your skin tone is essential and should be given attention before you reach out for the cut and texture.. This fall, head-to-toe whites in warm hues such as bone and off white, rather than bright plain lab-coat whites are going to be the definition of winter style. Check the fashion board here.
6 || Fringe Benefits
While fringes remain at large, this Fall they are ruling. Engulfing everything from pants to dresses and bags, the trend has taught us that fringe is every-occasion appropriate..Make a statement and take your cue from Beyonce and Rihanna, both divas wore the fringe like there’s no tomorrow!
7 || The Darling Shearling
This Fall/ winter fur will become the strongest form of infatuation, on the runways, and specifically shearling, manifested in several different ways.. Cuddle up in this warm texture and feel the era of the ‘70s return. The cold season also offers models with a contemporary touch, with pop toned turn-ups and leather effect vinyl. Real or in a synthetic version, the shearling coat points to an excessive elegance, a true investment that is worth braving.
8 || Patchwork
The global pandemic has encouraged a major movement towards all things DIY. From sewing machines and homemade face masks to thrift flips and tie-dye kits, everyone was trying to create or up-cycle their own garments at home. Therefore patchwork reigned supreme at the Fall 20 runways.. Folkloric, antique, embroidered pieces and feminine-forward patchwork give you multiple aesthetics to choose from. Wear your luxurious silks and satins, choose sophisticated silhouettes and start showing how glamorous up-cycling and sustainability can be!
9 || Leather
The best part of Fall, in our opinion, is the fact that it’s officially leather weather. This season, designers like Sally LaPointe, Saint Laurent, and Coach gave us something fresh and even more exciting to look forward to: colored leather. These designers created luxurious separates in bold hues like ultraviolet, royal blue, and caramel that were simply too gorgeous to resist.
10 || Big Sleeves
Talk about the essence of glam, challenging style and playfulness and puffy sleeves will make total sense, a trend that has emerged the past seasons, is proving to remain this time again. Voluminous sleeves add a statement to any outfit, from bell-shaped and extra-long, bishop and flouncy, to balloon and cold-shoulder, attention-grabbing sleeves are stealing all the spotlight.
11 || Lady In Red
This 2020 Fall exhibited the color red like never before.. Valentino instantly comes to mind when we think about the perfect red formal dress, which is how the red dress is being envisioned this season. There is plenty of choices though, not just Valentino. Check the fashion board here.
12 || Plaid Brilliance
Just like Spring Summer collections demand floral prints, plaid has become the Fall pattern to wear for the past couple of years, and we’re loving it! No wonder certain brands have built their whole identity based on plaid, such as Burberry. Having seen it take on many forms, it’s always impressive to see which new iterations designers can think up to reinvent the timeless favorite. From grunge, uniform-dressing plaids, this fall, plaids are styled in courageous, eclectic colors, with designers trying out head-to-toe plaid dressing and unconventional mixed patchwork patterns.
