Selena struts the streets of NYC whilst out-and-about promoting her latest singles “Lose You to Love Me”, “Look at Her Now” and new movie The Dead Don’t Die and her Netflix docuseries Living undocumented. Her press tour began last ween in LA, where the 27 year old hit-maker sported five sleek looks in under 48 hours. Gomez brought the same energy to Manhattan, where the American songstress seamlessly slipped into four different outfits in-between her interviews.
Selena kicked things off with a vivid teal velvet suit by Sies Marjan, followed by a Ganni brown print satin dress complete with a nude Celine bag and knee-high suede boots, into a sleeveless black high-neck top by Leset and Miu Miu striped grey pencil skirt, before finally segueing into her final fit that had the internet in a swoon: a chic checkered grey suit by Frame complete with leather mules with a mirrored block heel flare by Proenza Schouler.
Selena nailed all four looks thanks to famed stylist Kate Young, Anna Wintour’s ex assistant and one of Hollywood’s most in-demand stylists, having worked with Margot Robbie, Dakota Johnson and Sienna Miller.
Hours after the release of Selena’s latest singles, she had to take to her instagram to address and condemn the hate that her fans were casting at her ex, Justin Bieber’s new wife, Hailey Bieber. During an IG Live, Gomez urged her fans not to ‘tear women down’.
I am so grateful for the response this song is getting. However, I do not stand for women tearing women down. And I will never, ever be by that,” explained Gomez, “So please be kind to everyone. It doesn’t matter what the situation is, if you’re my fans don’t be rude to anyone, please. Don’t go off and say things that you just feel in the moment. Just please, for me, know that that’s not my heart and my heart is only to release things I feel that are me and that I’m proud of. And that’s all that I’ll say.
Fans interpreted one of Gomez’s latest lyrics to be directly referencing her ex Justin though she never confirmed this, and a source revealed to E! News “Of course Justin and Hailey have heard Selena’s new song, and they are both trying to not give any reaction to her lyrics referencing Justin It isn’t ideal for Hailey, but she understands the creative process of writing music and that Justin had a past. Justin has completely moved on from that chapter of his life and understands that Selena is allowed to reflect on the past in her own way. Justin and Hailey both want Selena to be happy and in a good place and aren’t fazed by it.”
We take Selena’s public address to trolls targeting Hailey to be a sign that she has now buried the hatchet and seemingly wants to move on. What are your thoughts? Let us know!
