The much-anticipated Giambattista Valli X H&M collection is yet to launch in stores and online, specifically November 7. However, in the mean time, you can start drooling over the collection and basically planing your pieces by looking through the newly-released images of the campaign starring Kendall Jenner and a host of other stars such as H.E.R., and Chiara Ferragni among others.
The collection which will probably sell out in minutes is the epitome of romantic grunge; it merges a plethora of feminine delicate pieces that are on the cusp of edgy streetwear. The campaign highlights all that by featuring the stars in those billowy floral dresses and tulle gowns frolicking through lush gardens or ancient Roman mansions. The feelings imagined are exactly what Giambattista Valli wants this collaboration to evoke.
The campaign was shot by renowned fashion photographers Mert and Marcus, and the crew was flown to Rome to be able to capture the essence of Valli’s collection. Despite the romanticism of the collection, and the fact that it’s chock-full of tulle, and other not-so-practical fabrics, but according to singer H.E.R., “the dresses are so comfortable and cute and soooo good for all occasions”. The dresses can be dressed up or down and worn with sneakers. But the hoodies were her favourites, ranging from logo hoodies to a leopard print version as well as golden-embroidered white ones.
The bottom line is that this collection combines elements of fabulousness with comfort and raw edginess, translating into pieces that can be so easy to style and oh-so-stylish if I may add. My only concern is that …will we be able to grab some before they sell out? Mark your calendars for Novemeber 7th!!
