Actress Alicia Vikander will only allow one person to attach her hair extensions.
The 27-year-old actress dazzled on the red carpet at the BAFTA Awards in London on Sunday night (14Feb16), where she was nominated for the best actress prize thanks to her role in The Danish Girl. Although she missed out on the award to Room star Brie Larson she won in the style stakes, opting for an edgy full-length Louis Vuitton gown which was silver and leather. Her dark hair was worn loose and flowing over her shoulders, with the actress likely having a little help to make it look so full.
Many will sympathize with the reason behind Alicia’s decision – it seems even the A-list aren’t above suffering a hairdresser horror.
“Having had bad experiences in the past, I know the difference, and know that it’s worth making the effort to travel for my hair,” the star laughed.
“I want my hair to look natural and am asked to have my hair in certain styles for each role, and I have been able to trust Danielle the whole time.”
Sarah Mckenna is the founder and director of the salon and revealed Alicia usually opts for a half head of extensions, which helps her tresses look more voluminous. The fake hair is added as close to the hairline as possible, so she gets a sweeping effect.
I have been a loyal client of Vixen B Blush (hair extensions) for three years and will never go anywhere else for my hair extensions,” she told Britain’s Look magazine. “I’m often asked to change my hair for roles and now insist on having my hair extensions done in London by Danielle at Vixen 8, Blush as she is the only person I can trust to safely apply them!
