A stunning 504 page coffee table book, featuring intimate moments and never-before-seen images of the mogul’s life and journey. The publication has been in the making for over five years now.
The weighty tome takes you from the artist’s childhood in Barbados to her international sellout tours, capturing iconic fashion moments and exclusive inside looks into her personal life, showcasing all facets of her life including the musical, performative, artistic and entrepreneurial.
Having sold 60 million albums and 215 million tracks globally, Riri is the top-selling digital female artist of all time! Queen of versatility and reinvention, Rihanna has been on a roll these past few years, launched Fenty Beauty back in 2017, followed by her Savage X Fenty lingerie line in 2018 and her most recent luxury fashion brand Fenty, with LVMH in 2019.
The book will be published under Phaidon Press, “We are excited and proud to publish this incredible book by this extremely talented and influential woman. The opulent publication comes enclosed in binding cloth and with a printed black carrying case.
Inside, it includes 11 special inserts, a poster and 7 gatefolds. There will be 3 versions of the book, the first being the regular large-format Rihanna edition, published October 24th ($150), the Fenty x Phaidon ($175) edition which includes a unique cover by Barnbrook creative studio (an independent creative studio founded by Jonathan Barnbrook, based in London — they also designed the typography, interiors and main cover) as well as a steel tabletop bookstand inspired by the mogul’s own hands in mirrored silver chrome and a matte finishing. The third edition is the very limited Rihanna: Ultra Luxury Supreme, in collaboration with The Haas Brothers (eponymous furniture design and fabrication studio founded in by twin brothers Simon and Nikolai Haas). This will become available on the 20th of November ($5,500, already sold out for pre-order) and includes signatures and numbering by Rihanna and The Haas Brothers, whose notable work is featured in the Met, this special edition is bound in custom black fabric including an inset, matte laser-cut logo inlaid onto the front cover and a cast-resin tabletop bookstand encased in bespoke black vermiculated fabric, quite ritzy. The book and stand combined weigh around 130 pounds.
