Oh how we love transitional seasons; they’re a time for decluttering, for throwing out the old and bringing in the new. This applies for everything from clothing, to household items and to our makeup of course. If you’ve been itching to get your hands on the latest makeup offerings on the market, well now’s the time. Makeup trends for fall will witness a return to many of our beloved classics thank God, but fear not there is plenty of new stuff to drool over, so read below to check out the 8 most popular makeup trends for fall 2019!
1 || Blood Orange
Wouldn’t you say this is a perfect shade for fall? You would argue that this is more red than orange and you could be right but aim to wear this monochromatically. Just make sure to apply it in moderation. Sweep a blood orange shadow unto your crease or just sweep your blush, and apply a lipstick of the same shade and voilà. Just remember that this look may not suit everyone, so don’t be disheartened there are plenty of other trends to try out.
2 || 90’s Lips
A.K.A brown lips, or better yet, Rachel Green lips. In fact, you don’t have to limit yourself; you can go as brown as you like. This is a trend you can easily embrace as there simply is a brown for everyone. Below is the exact shade of brown that Jennifer Anniston wore on Friends!
3 || Smokey Graphic
Another take on the graphic liner trend is the graphic smokey shadow. Shake things up a bit by adopting any of the latest graphic trends around, do your research as there’s plenty to choose from and you can even pair it with glitter as this is also going strong. Have fun with it.
4 || Neon
Neon is a trend that is surprisingly still going strong. Just don’t overdo it. Pops of neon work wonders when strategically applied to the eyes. You could opt for a neon color to highlight the inner corners of your eyes, or you could sweep a neon liner instead.
5 || Glow Baby
Yup! It is still all about the glow. If summer is ending your skin doesn’t have to show for it. Keep up the bronzed dewy look throughout the colder months with the right products. Creamy products are key to achieving this look be they moisturisers, highlighters, blushes or bronzers.
6 || Matte Red Lips
Matte red lips are a fall classic no one can deny that. You can be slightly more courageous and pair your red lip with graphic eyes, or you can just downplay the rest of your face and let your lips do the talking. You can go as dark as oxblood lips this fall and still be on trend.
7 || Watercolor Eyes
Artistic eye makeup was all the rage on the catwalks and red carpets. Though Cara’s look consisted of pink, orange, and yellow, you can customise it to your heart’s content. To achieve this look, you can either use contrasting colors, or colors that belong to the same family. Experiment!
8 || Twiggy Lashes
Perhaps you needn’t go that far, but this fall is seeing super separated lashes everywhere. This is a look that can be paired with glowing skin for a no-makeup look that …well ..has some makeup. Dior’s Pump ’N’ Volume Mascara can help you do that. Make sure to pull the want towards the outer corner of your eye to give you a slight cat eye in addition.
