The essential makeup item that no beauty arsenal would be complete without is the white eyeliner. True, it can seem a little tricky to use but once you figure out the uses and the techniques the rest is a charm as they say. White eyeliner has multiple uses and not just for the eyes believe it or not. It is one of the those best kept secrets in the makeup world, but by now the secret has leaked and we all know that white eyeliner first and foremost makes our eyes look brighter and wider. BUT…it is not just about that so scroll below to learn a trick or five on how to put white eyeliner to use.
1 || As a Liner Instead of lining your top lid with thick black, try using white. Since white eyeliner is bright, this will create a noticeable, dramatic look.
2 || Double Eyeliner Draw a white line on your top lid twice as thick as you would normally do. Next, apply black or brown liner on top of it with a line about half as thick. This will create a double eyeliner look that makes your eyes stand out without being as dramatic as a white-only liner look.
3 || Shimmer the Inner Corner You can use white eyeliner to highlight the inner corner of your eyes to brighten your look. Starting from the corner, fan out about a centimetre on the top and bottom lid. Your eyes will appear brighter, improving your overall look. A big fan of this look is Blake Lively.
4 || Brow Bone Highlight your brow bone by swiping the white liner directly underneath the brow then smudging it along the brow bone.
5 || Conceal Imperfections Hide a blemish by applying white eyeliner to it first, then cover it with concealer. The whites will counteract the red of the blemish to create perfect coverage.
One last thought, if you find white eyeliner too harsh, you can always tone it down by using a beige eyeliner instead. All it takes is some trial and error.
