There is something festive about the approaching end of year and the holiday season whether you celebrate it or not. This time of year should be all about the parties, the gifts, the shopping, and about looking great while juggling all of that! Looking your best during this busy season shouldn’t be another burdensome thing to deal with. We’ve looked around and brought you the most trending makeup looks to carry you through this holiday season. Have fun recreating them.
1 || Frosted Eyes
You do not have to be Elsa from Frozen to give this holiday look a try! This look is all about the shimmer and sparkle. Just dab a generous amount of glitter pigment on your eyelids in a not-so-perfect way. Compliment this look with a glossy bold lip, and highlighter on your cheekbones and décolleté.
2 || Blue-Eyed Pantone
Make use of the newly-announced Pantone color of the year, this cobalt sapphire royal blue that looks absolutely gorgeous on everyone. Use your finger or a sponge tip applicator to press the color unto the lids to gradually build up intensity. Use an eyeshadow brush afterwards to blend it well and to clean away the edges.
3 || Gold Liner
Glamming yourself up for the holidays doesn’t have to be such a time consuming endeavour, sometimes all you need is a simple flick of a metallic eyeliner and you’re set. Gold eyeliner is relatively safe so you can go ahead and experiment a little; you can do double wings, line your lower lashes or even draw fake-like lashes on your lower lid. This look also requires a bold lip.
4 || Watercolor Eyes
Well not exactly watercolors, more like dabs of bold colors, but this is a look that’s trending strong and we’ve already featured it previously. You can pair any two or three colors that can take your fancy just make sure they’re bold enough to make a statement. For any two colors that you choose make sure you include a third “transitional” or blending color in the middle between the two shades. You can easily add a touch of shimmer to the eyeshadows but pare down your lips for this look.
5 || Doe-Eyed Glow
If you just can’t let go of your neutrals’ obsession, fear not we’ve got a look for you. Inspired by Rudolph without the red nose obviously; this look is all about velvety woody colors and textures. Apply matte brown eyeshadow all over your eyelids, pair it with white eyeliner and pile on the mascara for a doe-eyed look. Compliment this look with a velvety shine-free blush and mousse-y matte nude lipstick.
